NOMINATIONS HAVE CLOSED FOR THE 2010 FONTERRA ELECTIONS
Nominations for the 2010 Fonterra Elections closed at 12 noon on Friday, 10 September 2010.
Nominations were also called for candidates for the Shareholders’ Council in 13 wards. Elections are required in three wards, as follows:

There was only one nomination received in the 10 other wards. No election will be held in these wards. The formal declaration of these candidates as Shareholders’ Councillors will be made in conjunction with the results of the elections on 16 November 2010.

Of the above, Bill Donaldson, Kevin Monks, Duncan Coull and Phil Butler will be new Shareholders’ Councillors. The other Councillors-elect are incumbents who have been elected unopposed.
All successful candidates take office at the close of the Fonterra Annual Meeting of Shareholders on 18 November 2010.
Voter Packs, containing candidate profiles, will be mailed to eligible shareholders on Thursday, 21 October 2010. Shareholders can vote by internet, fax or post, using the Single Transferable Vote (STV) system.
The voting period is from Friday, 22 October until 10.30am on Tuesday, 16 November 2010 with the results being announced later that day.
